Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
This policy explains how personal information is handled on peacemakerdev.co.za, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Who is responsible
The responsible party is Mlamuli Biyela, trading as PeacemakerDev, based in Pretoria, South Africa. You can reach me through the contact page or at the email address on the contact page.
What I collect
When you send an enquiry through the contact form, I receive:
- Your name and email address
- Your phone number, if you choose to give it
- The service you are interested in and your message
If you email or message me on WhatsApp directly, I receive whatever you choose to send.
Why I collect it
Only to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and, if you become a client, deliver the work. I do not use your details for unrelated marketing, and I do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
Security and spam protection
To limit spam, the contact form briefly uses your IP address to count how many enquiries come from one connection. This is not kept as a record of visitors. The site also hides its contact details from automated scrapers.
Cookies, analytics and third parties
- This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
- Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google when a page loads.
- The site is hosted by HostAfrica, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and operations.
- Email is handled through the hosting provider's mail service.
How long I keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of work done for clients. You can ask me to delete your information at any time.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask me to:
- Confirm what personal information I hold about you
- Correct or delete it
- Stop using it for a particular purpose
Contact me using the details above and I will respond as soon as I can.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how your information is handled, you can complain to South Africa's Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated.
